On Thursday 7 March, Dr Alex Lloyd and some of the student translators joined Dr Alexandra Franklin at the Bodleian Library’s Bibliographical Press. The students selected phrases from the White Rose leaflets – in German and in their new English translation – and experimented with printing them using some of the historical hand-presses. Slogans included: ‘Freiheit!’, ‘If you know, why don’t you act?’, ‘Die Weiße Rose läßt Euch keine Ruhe!’
