Applicants were asked to submit a short statement outlining why they would like to be involved, and to translate an extract from the third White Rose leaflet:&nbsp; \u2018Viele, vielleicht die meisten Leser dieser Bl\u00e4tter sind sich dar\u00fcber nicht klar, wie sie einen Widerstand aus\u00fcben sollen. Wir wollen versuchen, ihnen zu zeigen, da\u00df ein jeder in der Lage ist, etwas beizutragen zum Sturz dieses Systems.\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We had a number of very strong submissions and fifteen students from ten colleges were selected to participate: Zo\u00eb Aebischer, Sophie Bailey, Ilona Clayton, Ro Crawford,&nbsp;Pauline G\u00fcmpel, Eve Mason, Louise Mayer-Jacquelin, Adam Mazarelo, Tim Powell, Finn Provan, Poppy Robertson,&nbsp;Emily Rowland, Harry Smith, Amy Wilkinson, and Madeleine Williamson-Sarll.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The students have already met for their first session, during which they discussed the background to the White Rose leaflets, translation theory, and the aims of their translation.
